Enrollment is Open All Year! Call us Today!

Since 1984 we have helped hundreds of students begin and continue on their musical journey. We offer private lessons in piano, keyboard, guitar, bass, drums, violin, viola and voice. We also offer Music Therapy and pre-school music classes. We know you are busy and it can be very hard to find a reliable music teacher. That's why we go above and beyond to find the BEST music teachers in the area--so you don't have to!

Our staff consists of experienced music teachers, capable of teaching all ages and levels. We constantly renovate and improve our facilities as well as provide on-going support to our instructors to ensure we are always providing our students and parents with the best possible musical experience.

While you're researching the best school for you, consider the benefits of becoming a student of The Kitchener Academy of Music and find out why we are your number one choice for music lessons!

10 Benefits of becoming a student of The Kitchener Academy of Music:

1. Lessons for Piano, Keyboard, Violin, Viola, Guitar, Ukulele, Voice and Drums -- in one location.

This saves our students time and money, as one family can take multiple instruments on the same day. Other studios offer multiple instruments, but we are the only one to offer these instruments in a high quality, convenient environment. We welcome all beginners and all levels--no matter what your age!

2. The most qualified teaching faculty in the area!

We've handpicked our teachers so your student can have the best music lesson experience possible.  All of our teachers have advanced music education from accredited universities, extensive teaching experience and a fun, motivating personality that you're sure to love! No matter what your musical goals are, we want to help you reach them! Our goal is to inspire your student--and that is the best teaching method of all!

3. Did you know that while studying an instrument, your child can be earning High School credits?

Our teachers are certified to prepare students for The Royal Conservatory and Conservatory Canada official exams. With these practical and theory credentials, students may acquire High school credits BEFORE they are even in high school!

4. The widest range of lesson times available, sure to fit any busy schedule!

Monday-Thursday - 10am-9pm

Friday - 10am-9pm

Saturday - 10am-5pm

5. Free performance opportunities!

You just want to know how your child is doing in lessons and if they are really progressing.  The best way to understand if the investment is worth it is to have your child participate in our free recitals. We hold our recitals locally, so you don't have to travel to get a great experience. Unlike most schools, you will never have to pay admission or other fees to participate in our recitals.

6. Conveniently located!

We are conveniently located, just off of Conestoga Pkwy in Kitchener.  We have students that come from Kitchener, Ayr, Waterloo, Doon, Cambridge, New Hamburg, Baden, St. Jacob's, Guelph, Stratford, St. Agatha, Elmira, Conestoga, and Woodstock.

7. Picture Day

We want you to be able to celebrate your music and share that memory through pictures, which is why we offer a free picture day to our students.  Students are able to come and get their picture taken by a professional photographer and can bring their instrument and wear whatever they want.  Make a memory with our picture day!  Picture Day photos make great Christmas cards!

8. Make Up Classes

Missed a lesson? No problem.  Just sign up for one of our easy make up classes. They never expire and you can attend one when it fits your schedule.

9. Early morning and lunchtime lessons for homeschoolers, retirees, college students, and working professionals.

We are able to be a full-service music school and can offer lessons starting as early as 10:00am and we see many students over the lunch hours.  If you are a homeschooler, a retiree, a college student or working professional, take advantage of these great times.

10. Month to Month Lessons!

We do not require semester minimums for our lessons. We only want students that are loving their lessons to continue.
